Gorvin forks were good for being stiff and tracking well. Also came with an elastomer shock.

That travel path during compression does not look favorable. The wheel has to move forward in order to compress. I can’t imagine that fares well when going over bumps.

I had a few of the Girvins and for the era, they worked better than average. My last one had the Noleen shock/spring combo. Now the Y Bike? It sucked! The Unified Rear Triangle was awful.

They were amazing, had one on my Proflex Animal with elastomers and my K2 4000 that had Noleen nitrogen charged damper with a 9v battery that used a piezo crystal to adjust valving. Ultra light, about half the weight of regular fork shocks due to aluminum legs. The stroke was a j stroke, moved back and then up really soaked up the chatter. Really good stuff.

I was just puzzling over how to build that fork for a fat bike. I think it would be an excellent application
