Changed the chain on my bike yesterday for a like-for-like PC-XX1 chain. However now I've got a creaking noise, like bottom bracket but doesn't seem to be. And the chain seems to want to come off the chain ring, as I put pressure on the pedals the chain ring moves noticeably inside the chain. I'm assuming I need to dig deep and get a new drivetrain?

Yeah sounds and looks like it needs changing. SRAM xsync chainrings are reasonably priced though, you can get a replacement for £20-40.
