We know cycling is good for those who do it. But is it also good for everyone else – even for those who do not cycle? The best way to answer this question is through “Bikenomics”, a term that indicates economic thinking applied to cycling. Since it allows for optimal use of resources, such as public space and private time, cycling is among the means of transport which make the most economic sense for society. In this hour-long digital seminar, experts from both Portugal and the Netherlands discuss how more cycling—and more cycling tourism—can support a green economic recovery in cities and towns across Portugal.
