We're cycling the tour right now. On top of the bad weather we just found out, that there's no train awaiting us in Troisvierges at the end of our trip!!! Due to some construction right now there will be a Bus Connection to the next train Station, which, here comes the clue WILL NOT ACCEPT BIKES!!!! AN ABSOLUTE FARCE!! We planned this trip in february and looked up the connection. Then and also not on the official homepage now is any word about those problems! How can you make big commercials about the bike tour, but not think about how the bikers are supposed to getaway at the end!!?? UNBELIEVABLE!
Does anyone know how well your can cycle the route on a road race bike from Aken to Monschau? In the beginning there were still quite some dangerous gravel patches.
Me and my old buddy biked here when it was JUST open! What a ride it was, wauw.. we even went straight on through the batcave.. we did not know there was no fence or nothing and we did not wanna go back, never knew any bats were inside the tunnel… never heard them and we got out OK. Gonna do the ride again in 2026, but this time electric instead of racebike B). ps we went from Amsterdam till the end of vennbahn.
