Is it possible you need to thread the gear cable in one of the guides further along the frame of the bike?
I can’t really see, but from the first picture it looks like the b screw isn’t on the lip it’s supposed to be
The chain needs to be shortened.
Look at where the b screw is sitting. The screw should be sitting “higher” on the hanger resting on the top of that table. That will position the derailleur further back.
I did the same thing recently
