Hey you guys! I have no clue where to start but I would love to get into this hobby. What bags should i get along with what starter equipment ? I ride a salsa rangefinder 29er. I would like to be able to take this on off road trails and camp overnight at a spot.

I started with a rear rack and some cheap AliExpress panniers, enough for an overnight or two-night trip. It’s a good, cheap way to find out if you like it, plus you can later lend them to a friend if you enjoy it and want company.
Is that the correct seat height for you riding that bike? it seems way too low.
