I very rarely ride less than 10km. I would say average ride is around 50-80km. I prefer long distance because it's one thing I can still beat my 18 year old son at. LOL
15km each way from SE London to City. 45-50 mins, depending upon traffic lights. Sunny days, take a detour home by the river to add another 10kms. Trains are pretty good, but riding is perfect.

50km for my commute – Woking to London Bridge. But I do now use an ebike.
