This came with my endurance CF SLX. It’s got a rough texture so I assume it’s to keep the seat post from slipping.
Is there an issue using this on other components on the bike such as thru axels and pedals?
If not, what is a better compound to use for those areas?

Absolutely *do not* use this on pedals etc. This is not grease, dude. It’s carbon assembly paste. It’s for places with carbon on carbon contact that need to be tightened and not move, like the seat post. For pedal threads you want basic grease, same as usual.
Nope. For axles and pedals, you need something else. Not because of a better performance technically, you absolutely shouldn’t use it.
If you read the manual that comes with the bike it tells you where to use it.
Note: a bike I bought recently from Canyon came with paste, but the manual did not say it was required at any point to build the bike.
Pretty sure the instructions tell you EXACTLY where and where not to use it. Follow those.
this is for parts that are not supposed to move. not for lubricating moving parts.
Delicious when spread on toast
This is the opposite of grease so don’t use it anywhere you would use grease. Its basically liquid sandpaper that’s meant to add friction to keep smooth parts like the seat post and seat tube from slipping.
You cannot use it to keep a hairpiece in place. I tried.
My wife’s boyfriend will only use this brand lube
It’s great on toast.
Don’t use it as sex lube…
Seatpost. That or exfoliation
Hemorrhoids treatment.
Chamois butter
For seat post only. I recommend you use Finish Line Fiber Grip, it holds better.
Did Canyon stop shipping manuals or something?
