That looks like dry rot. Replace.

Michelins used to get cracked and nasty. From the preview I thought it might be something similar. It’s not. These are severely dry-rotted and gotta go.

I rode one that kinda looks like this, but not quite that bad, for another 1000k or so. It was fine. Doesn’t mean yours will be, just that mine was.

There are a lot of bike coalitions in large citys, that will have 2nd hand parts tires etc. You can always check there for parts. Usually far cheaper or even free In some cases.
To answer your question. Yea that tires dead. Need to one

A good rule of thumb is to replace your tires when they look like elephant skin.

The cracks help to clear the water from the tread when it’s raining. Just run it until the front tire blows out on you. Then you can change the tire after the hospital visit is over.

Yes. While Keith Richards can look like this and persist, it’s not a viable state for bike tires.

The rim isn’t visible, so there’s still life in these.

If you’re in a pinch, see if you have a nearby bicycle coop. They sell used tires that are in good shape for $5-$15 a pop. Rare to find a machine set but at least you won’t get stranded far away from home with a blown out tire!

Hahaha… My tire has actual holes in it before I replaced it. Somehow, still never got a flat on it for 2 years.
