Off road testing is DONE on the just released Continental Dubnital.
This is the fastest one in the mix, the Rapid Race, and in the 29 x 2.4 size. It’s 60 mm wide on a 29 mm internal width Kovee RSL rim. I aired them up and let sit for 24 hours before measuring… also rode some prior to testing. Dunno if that matters.
As you can see, a fuzz slower than the prior RK 2.2 on cat 2 stuff… I’m doing the Dub 2.2 soon also which should be interesting.
Also notable is the, errrrr, King, of Cat 3 gravel remains the Peyote XC Race.
Oh… a quick note on tire pressure. I’ve posted about this before, but this is EASY stuff. Even if you miss the optimal PSI by 1 or 2 either way, the rolling resistance value is close to identical. Ride feel changes sure… but remember this isn’t a steel drum and it’s easy to overthink casing tensions, hoop stress, and the ever present dream/fiction of a “perfect” comparison.
More Testing. Less Thinking.
Tire performance is kinda wild, and that is totally okay with me. 🙂

I’m waiting for these tires (and the entire lineup) to be available in Canada. I want to put Trinotal/Dubnital trail casing on my mtb.
have you tried schwalbe ricks?
You need to manscape! 😂
Would be great if you got around to testing the 2.4? Booster Pro in the TR version.
Big fan of the 2.6 [2.5].
Test vittoria barzo 2.1 when you have the chance
I frickin love these tires
Hate the name and how it looks, the racekings were way nicer
Have you established what your margin for error is in your testing methodology? I’m wondering if 0.0146 and 0.0147 are within margin.
Edit: fixed numbers
Trying to understand if these are indeed better than the race king predecessors. Hard to compare when its 2.2 vs 2.4. What was your take on it?
Wishful thinking posting this in the gravel sub.
