The sleeve fell out after folding. On my way home, I tightened the seatpost bolt pinching the sleeve and the seatpost, 10km into my commute it fell out in pieces. Is my bike toast?
At the beginning of this video, millionth Brompton, the mechanic installs the black plastic seat post sleeve. Many Brompton dealers have the tools to replace the black plastic sleeve. As part of the process, the mechanic should inspect the frame for damage.
Bike should be fine, if in reading this right you refitted and then it broke up? Probably not the wisest idea but you should be okay. You’ll need a new sleeve fitted though and reamed.

You need a replacement sleeve. This is a wear component. Don’t overtighten the seatpost as you can distort the tube and do permanent damage.
