Heyo r/gravelcycling
So I got a bike recently to start my biking adventures. Only went on 2-3 rides since getting the bike of which one was proper gravel riding with both loose and compacted gravel.
Saturday, I noticed a lovely hole in my back tire (see pics). First things first: is this something I should be worried about and get the tire replaced? Or is this something where I can apply some vulcanizing glue and call it a day?
Secondly, this is a new bike and I literally only went on 3 rides: one to adjust saddle height etc, a gravel ride, and one on paved road. & no glass shards or anything out of the usual so I am very surprised to already see damage. Would I have a case by contacting Canyon support for a replacement tire perhaps?
Added a scenery pic of my bike as I am also still in the honeymoon phase post-purchase, isnt she a beauty?!

I would send the picture of the tire to canyon, and mention that you plan to return the bike. If you bought it online, they will be interested in resolving this in mutual satisfaction.
I would not ride this tire anymore. Most likely I would also change the front one. If you were riding tubes, and tubes were intact, the tire is shitty, maybe some production defect.
