Hi, I was wondering if the spec difference between these two is worth the price difference. Both bikes are new and so it’s hard to find info, and this will be my first serious mountain bike.
Main difference that I can see is the fork on the A1 is the rockshock Judy S Tk air 130mm vs on the A2 it’s X-fusion rc32 air 130mm. Crankset A1 shimano deore fc mt512, A2 prowheel alloy. Brakes A1 shimano deore bd mt410, A2 tektro hd-m275. Both have a different saddle.
Price difference for me is 266AUD or 170usd
Charger 1 – 1700$
Charged 2 -1440$
aussie dollars
Take a look for yourself, this link and then compare the two. I would appreciate it a lot thank you.

The drivetrains are the exact same, the cranksets and forks are different. Is it worth it…not for your first serious bike if money isn’t hard to come by? I reckon it is (money) or you wouldn’t be looking at a fairly mundane Norco hardtail. Get the cheaper bike.
No knock on any Norco. I thought their Torrent HT in steel was SPECTACULAR and am bummed they discontinued it before I could score one. I’m sure this bike (which replaces the Torrent) rides beautifully as well. Go for it. But OP, if you spend too long on r/MTB, you’re going to be made to regret not getting a Roscoe 7.
**Edit:** I looked at these bikes again using Norco’s compare tool. The cheaper bike has Tektro brakes, 6-bolt rotors and a smaller front rotor. The pricier bike has center lock wheels/rotors, a bigger 180 mm rotor up front, and Shimano brakes.
YES! The pricier bike IS worth the extra money, BUT you’ll have center lock rotors. This is meaningless if you don’t intend to do your own work on the bike. If you do, the difference is between you buying a T-25 torx wrench or a center lock tool to replace your brake rotors.
They’ll be reliable. The Rockshox Judy will be way more serviceable than the X-Fusion. Get the pricier bike.
