Drove an hour in traffic to pick up some sweet Nitto bullmoose bars (I’ll share those pics later) from an FB marketplace seller.
Paid the older guy and we were chatting a while. Then he said, “hey come on back, I’m working on a bike and probably selling it.” Sure I’ll check it out…
Holy shit! Did not expect this near mint specimen of an xbike. Two beautiful Manitou forks sandwiching this shiny lightweight Manitou alloy frame. I mean it was surprisingly light considering it looks like 30 lbs of heavy metal.
He was looking to sell it for around $300. Too rich for my blood but hell that bike was rad as shit.

That’s a beautiful example of MTB history. I remember seeing one of those at a race in the 90’s, and had only seen it in magazines. It looked like such an elite bike for the time. His price isn’t crazy for the condition.
Is it anywhere near Washington state?
