Sirrus X 2.0 at $549

Sirrus 3.0 at $699

It seems like from online consensus that the X is better than non-X models, but not sure why the 3.0 retails at over $1k while the X 2.0 retails at $700. This will be my first adult bike so I don't know anything technical about these bikes. It will just be used for casual city biking on pavement.

Is the 3.0 worth the extra $150? TIA!

  1. It’s the same frame with the same tire clearance. The 3.0 has a carbon fork rather than steel, one extra gear, thinner tires, a front derailleur, and slightly better brakes. If the bike is intended to live on the road or smooth paths and you don’t mind the extra derailleur, it’s the better choice.
