Not sure if sram cchains are compatible with ultegra cassettes but if they are you should be good to go, doesn’t look too bad.
It looks fine. 30 bucks for a bike like that is an absolute steal anyway, even if some parts need replacing. I recommend getting a chain checker and checking if the chain needs to be changed. Also check the brake pads. Follow the park tool videos on adjusting the derailleur and the brakes and you’re set.
If it works fine on a $30 bike I would just ride it until it’s a problem. If you want to change things a chain is like $30 and a cassette would vary depending on level. You can get the base shimano 10 speed for like $30, ultegra would probably be twice that.
