OUR VISIT TO STUNNING DINAN TOWN.
We head off on the bikes, down the nearby river towpath, straight into the medieval town of Dinan….and we’re blown away!
We make our way…..slowly….from the port of Dinan on the River Rance, up winding streets to the Centre Historique of the town.
With it’s cobbled streets, and timbered medieval buildings, large market and stunning church, we spend a glorious day just meandering about, taking in the stunning sites and enjoying the late summer sunshine and the bustling atmosphere of the town itself.
An absolute ‘must visit’ if you’re ever in Brittany!!

  1. Thanks for the video, I think we may be visiting Dinan again in May. We've parked by the viaduct and cycled further upstream and there is an abbey not far along, beautiful.

  2. Really nice video: you captured the sense of Dinan very well.
We walked there on the riverside path from La Hallerais on a hot August day in 2019, and the town was really busy. We still enjoyed it, but we will return during shoulder season next time…
BTW there is a huge motorhome/campervan carpark in Dinan, somewhere near that massive bridge which crosses the river.

  3. That brought back memories of when we visited Dinah on the way home at the end of our holiday 20 years ago! It’s amazing how some those buildings are still standing from when we saw them! What instrument was that busker playing? It sounded like a cross between bagpipes and a violin and he seemed to be turning a handle to produce the sound!

  4. Hi guys just wanted to ask ,do you find using a acsi card worth it,have heard varied views would like to know your first hand experience
    regards Dave.

  5. My late husband and I stayed in a co nverted tannery in Dinah in 2022. I was so excited to see your vlog. I saw where we ate, bought our bread and walked up the street into Dinah proper. Only wish I could have shown him. We were also surprised when we got up to the town proper to see how big it was.

  6. Lovely video.
I too live here and you certainly found most of the interesting parts.
The church at ten minutes I call the pepper pot.
And the big church is where I go and lovely.
You did miss the English Garden which overlooks the Port.
And the guy with his hurdy gurdy.machine has been there and almost a fixture for many years.
And yes a great place to live with a short journey to Dinard and St Malo for a swim and more magnificent places to visit.
