I identify as a mountain biker who never liked road cycling. But I have to say I'm enjoying the gravel bike. Low spec and still fairly road biased in the gearing, no giant MTB cassette out the back, but I'm enjoying my peak to peak adventures and it's great to be able to leave the van, fullface and kneepads at home. I try to avoid the roads as much as I can but it's inevitable that a large portion of each spin is on the road so I don't that the spec isn't as aggressive as some other gravel bikes. Looking forward to more adventures!

  1. I’m with you on this. Long time mountain biker, bought a gravel bike a couple years ago and I’m really enjoying it. I’m 66 and I can see the transition from MTB to gravel as I get older. I bike alone a lot so I think it’s a bit safer. I just spent a couple days in Farmville, VA riding the High Bridge Trail. Had a great time. There’s a Microbrewery right on the trail!
