I’m running out of room and I have too many bikes, I know, blasphemy. Help me out with deciding which two I should keep, let’s not consider value of the bike for this discussion.
First Bike:
Foundry Valmont; I bought this frameset back in 2018 and it’s been a stellar ride for me for the past 7 years. It’s in great shape and has never missed a beat from cyclocross to gravel to road riding. It’s light and as fast as I need it to be. SRAM Force 1×11, Rolf Hyalite, Easton EC70 cockpit.
Second bike:
Waltworks; this is the reason I’m in this predicament, it found its way to me in a whim a couple weeks back. It’s a gorgeous steel frame built back in 2010 and redone in 2019, it fits me like a glove. It’s heavier than the Valmont but rides like an absolute dream. Shimano GRX 2×11, Mavic Allroad, Ritchey WCS Carbon cockpit.
Third Bike:
Ritchey P29er; I picked this frameset up back in 2015 and was the first bike I “built”. Admittedly it gets way less seat time than any road/gravel bike I’ve owned but gosh… I love looking at it sitting around collecting dust. SRAM XX1 1×11, Middleburn RS8 crankset, Ritchey Classic cockpit.
So, what which two would you keep? 95% of my miles are spent on the road/gravel. Do I keep two extremely similar purpose bikes since that’s the majority of my miles or do I keep the Ritchey and one of the others?

Don’t do it you will regret it.
I won’t take part in such bloodshed! 🙂
Fuck me not the Ritchey! Find a senario that makes you ride it more!
OR… admit it’s not getting ridden enough, and let it find a happier home with someone that will give it the love it deserves.
Unrelated to selling but what’s that stand?
Dang that Ritchey is beautiful. I really hope you aren’t my frame size.
Personally like metal bikes and think both the Ritchey and the Waltworks are cooler and more unique than the Foundry so would keep those. Your comments suggest selling the Ritchey, but imo you’re then left with bikes that are more similar. Whereas your stable has more diversity and coverage if you sell one of the drop bar bikes.
I will not help you with this process. They’re all too small for me.
I don’t ride my (not-nearly-that-nice) hardtail, but I keep it because I can, and maybe, just maybe, I’ll be able to ride it sometime in the future.
That Ritchey 🤤🤤🤤
It would be the same as choosing which of my 3 kids to give up, and the answer is the same. The middle one.
Something about the top tube/seat stay junction makes me sad. Same with the bikes
If needed sell 1 and 3 and keep 2 i guess
#nofalsemetal #steelisreal get ride of the foundry
The Ritchey can come live with me in the PNW.
Add one more
Steal is real.

I refuse. This is a nice stable.
That ritchey is almost as iconic as a liquigas cannondale.
I guarantee that the instant you let one go, you will regret it. The only way I would get rid of any of those is if it didn’t fit me AND I could find a good home with someone who will appreciate the bike.
Just keep them all until someone comes along.
What? Nope. Wrong subreddit.
What is this n-1 bullshit?
I have been running that Foundry since 2016? Love that bike!
I agree with the “keep the Ritchey!”crowd. Both because it’s beautiful and because the other two are so similar.
If I were building a bike for single track it would be the Ritchey. Steel frames are so nice when it’s a just a couple of roots.
I would have a lot of trouble selling any one of them but if I had to pick I would cut the Waltworks loose but I would be sad about it.
I will not be a party to this crime. 😉
