It’s a stork. Used to deliver babies to their homes in Denmark.Â

Oh sweeet compliance save us from spine crushing potholes
That’s the mantra that designed this bike

Reproduction of a 19th century design I believe. Historically very significant step toward the form of a modern bicycle. There were obviously still some things to work out though.

Dursley is original X-shaped bike.

I have one, they are very comfy and stately. Not fast and not super up steep hills. They don’t lend themselves well to standing in the pedals.

I don’t think they ever made these in ridiculously large but I would love to try one out some day

My gut feel looking at the geometry is that front-wheel braking forces worries me. Brake hard and that lower steering pivot point will be pushed backwards really hard, trying to collapse that very obtuse triangle.
As I understand, it’s not a bike for spirited riding anyway, but much as I love quirky and alternative solutions when they’re effective, I can’t help being a bit skeptical about Pedersen bikes.
Then again, my gut feeling is that typical spoked wheels can’t possibly be robust, and my gut is wrong there.

Almost bought a used one locally but the seller stoped communicating. I’ve got a thing for odd bikes on a budget

Very cool, looks like someone’s proof of concept comfort bike.
