So when my son got his new bike two weeks ago, his little sister got to step up to his outgoing bike, a sick Specialized Riprock 24" with a full on Manitou air suspension and 11 gears. Only issue? The color was dark grey and she was meh about it. So I took apart the entire bike and got it powder coated a custom pink with "broken glass" (aka glitter) and finally got it back.
So tonight after three beers, two hours and many curse words I was able to fully reassemble the bike and now she has an epic one of a kind ride!
The best part is the powder coat was only $150, far less costly than buying a new pink bike that isnt nearly as nice!

Very cool! Great work and hopefully she loves it and gives you the dad kudos you deserve… also banking this idea myself as I’ve got 3 little ones, the youngest being the only girl (yet to start cycling)… one question though, who did you use for the custom paint job? Local paint pro, or did you send to Specialized?
