Bought the Raleigh for $50 off marketplace. Spent an hour before I realized I needed a half link to make the chain spacing work. 48×16 ratio. 27 wheel up front and 700c wheel in the back. Which is why there isn't gator skins on both wheels. Ali express brooks saddle. Pretty decent for $35. Diet Pepsi can seatpost shim.

Not bad. I did a conversion once… totally got carried away… ended up getting the frame powder coated & dumping $1000 worth of bits into it, only to have a bike I’ll probably never ride / be able to sell, so kudos to you for keeping the budget low

A Raleigh Technium. Interesting frame. I don’t know much about it other than it’s supposed to be a fusion of aluminum and steel. Being that I love classic Raleighs, I’m intrigued. Where’s the aluminum? In the headset? Forks? I noticed the seat stay isn’t incorporated into the lug and bolted on. Are the seat stays aluminum?
Too bad you can’t run that Gator on the rear but I’m sure you’ll get one.
I think you got a deal for $50. Right on! Get yourself a 700 for the front, a Gatorskin for the rear and you should be good.
