I went to a bike shop earlier I was told the circled area doesn’t allow for proper attachment of a rear rack, thus it’s not possible with this bike. I know there’s racks that attach just to the seat, but the weight limit is a bit too low for what I want.
Anyone have any solutions or is it just not possible with this bike?

My recommendation if you wanna make this work is the “Thule Pack n’ Pedal Tour Rack”, I use one as a front rack on my e-bike. It mounts using straps so you should be able to mount it on the chain stays of that bike.
They’re a bit expensive for a rack but they get the job done with decent weight capacity without needing specific mounting holes for a rack. It might still be too low of weight capacity, but you’re a bit limited without having even two mounting bolts spots on the frame.
