For that money you can get better quality jerseys. You’re paying for the brand which is fine if you want the brand.

  3. No jersey is worth paying for if there are 3 digits in the price. There are so many discount brands that sell kit with the same level of quality and function.

IMO 220 euro for a summer jersey is legit crazy and I’m not even remotely cheap

Hey, I’m buddies with one of their store managers here in the US. I recently asked him this same question, here is what he said.

    Short answer: No.

    Long answer: Maybe.

The pro stuff is *very* fitted and not a forgiving cut. It is very compressive, and does not from well to a body shape that isn’t ideal. He told me that I should try it on before I buy it, and also told me that it doesn’t work for most riders. It is a very race day fit that relies on basically a perfect cycling physique. If you lack that physique, it wont work for you, and will look ‘weird’. Its also cut really short in the jersey, which a lot of riders don’t like, and the pockets are super high up on the back, which again, most people don’t like.

It’s also super duper lightweight. Good for only the hottest rides and/or the most intense efforts, like a race.

He also told me its not very durable. Basically, you’ll only get a few rides out of it before it starts to lose its shape, compression, and stitching. It really is a race day fit for people that race, through and through, and should be reserved for race days only.

He followed all of this up by telling me the mechanism line is super similar, but lacks all the cons of the pro line. Fits most people pretty good, is better at conforming to different body shapes and riders lacking that perfect cycling form, is a nice medium weight for low intensity efforts, and lastly, if *far* more durable.

Basically, unless you are seeking the most marginal of gains, the pro line isn’t for you. But if you are seeking those super marginal gains, it could be great.

Oh and one last thing, he told me that the mechanism line if by far the most tested and well developed in their range, and is hands down the better kit.
