I’ve noticed a small, round, transparent sticker covering a tiny hole on my bike frame. The hole is located inside the rear triangle (near the wheel), and the sticker seems to be protecting it. Does anyone know what this hole is for, and why it’s covered with a clear sticker?

I’ve been told its rub protection from the cable. Took mine off before I learned it had a purpose.

It isn’t “covering” the hole though.
It’s there to protect the paint from that cable.
