True. All true. But there’s more, sometimes people want to build themselves a “special” bicycle, with different characteristics, or mixed ones, than the ones you can buy in the shop, and make them special.
All that being said, while the special editions, and the artificial scarcity of a limited edition are marketing plots, it’s also ok that people go for it.
Personally, i have little appreciation for special editions that are just overpriced paint with no added benefits. But hey, whatever floats people’s boat. Specially if that makes them cycle more and drive less
