Built this Koga Miyata Forerunner (1991) back when I was living in the Netherlands, knowing I’d be moving to Iceland. It’s my daily rider now—commutes all year round, even in winter with studded tires. Built the front wheel myself, with a SON hub and Supernova light for those dark months. The Fongers headplate is a little nod to Groningen, where I lived for a while. Cut the moto bars to 69cm, added some solid fenders and kept the original front rack. Super comfy and practical, and I just really love riding it.

  1. Damn this looks so cool! I’m a big fan of old Kogas, but I had no idea there were models with the extra down tube bottle bosses. Did you add them yourself?
