I’m getting a deal on this 2014 Glory frame (picture 1), which is the same as my current DH bike (picture 2), which is a medium while this new frame is a large for CAD300.
I quite like the 26er, so that’s fine. I have mine running as a single speed and would do the same thing on this. I’m a 5,9 dude who weighs 80kg. I have always felt that my current bike was too small for me.
What do you guys think? Is it worth it after factoring in the cost to have my bike rebuilt onto this frame by the shop? I also felt it may hold better resale value since it’s an L.

If you’re thinking about resale value, then no, it’s not worth it. That should never be why you buy a bike. No one is going to want your 10+ year old DH bike. Similarly, you are paying money for the same bike. Maybe look at options for a 2019+ Glory frame at least. If you’re going to spend money, why spend it laterally. You’re 5’9″, the M is your size. Perhaps you just don’t like the bike. Have you ridden other DH bikes? Maybe go to the bike park and rent one. Rent one in M. Then rent one in L. It’s not my money to spend here, but in my opinion, you’re giving away good money for no gain.
Buy it. Slap a 27.5 dual crown fork on it and ride the mullet life

You’re asking us if it is worth it. But it sounds like you already think that it is worth it. If you like the bike and see no problems, then why are you asking? You’re never gonna get a newer frame for that money. Not even close.
