This is the second time I’ve ordered ultimate cf slx 8 di2 from Canyon in the last couple months. The first one had issues so I’ve sent it back. When they’ve announced a ‘refresh’ on ultimate I thought “oh that’s great, I’ll get a unridden bike”. Thus, placed an order the same day as the refresh was announced.
Today I got my bike. [https://imgur.com/a/lVeB366](https://imgur.com/a/lVeB366) I didn’t even include poor job on the bar tape (there’s space between end caps and tape) and didn’t continue with the rest unpacking. Probably would have found more issues.
I just can’t comprehend how this is even remotely possible that they think it’s acceptable to send a bike with scratched wheels and the one that has been used for the full price?

The wheel damage is inacceptable, if the scratches on the seatpost mean it doesnt hold properly its damaged, otherwise its from their test rides they do before shipping bikes. The dirt on the tire is most likely from the test ride aswell.
This is what cutting corners looks like to get the most bang for your buck, unfortunately this is another return for you.
They gave up. They no longer care.
I bought a gravel bike a while back that had scratches on it and the tires had been used (but not worn). Customer service was great and they sent me another one. Same issue, came with scratches and clear usage from prior use (adhesive smeared on the bike and dirt in the tires). Sent that one back and the third one came scratch-free and unused. Very frustrating process, but I was happy with customer service and how quickly they shipped those replacements. If the bike I ordered was for me, I would’ve never have re-ordered, but because it was a gift and the bike my SO really wanted, I followed through with it. Great bike though…
