I never had a bike with dropper bars but I’ve had several mountain bikes and fat bikes. My last was a Specialized Fuse 27.5 and loved it but as I get older (35) I found myself wanting to explore…I am by no means a “cyclist” but after owning several bikes over $1,000 and seeing this thing all over YT I figured I’d give it a shot.

I do a lot of camping, I have tents and an off road off grid camper fully set up that I take a lot so exploring the woods isn’t what I needed, I’ve done that all my life. I frequent the ANF almost twice a month and really look forward to getting some miles in on this and see how it fairs.

As stated previously, I’ve spent money before on bikes I’m not knocking more expensive bikes by any means but for the cost of this thing I’m absolutely blown away. Very curious to see how it holds up…

Plans: New seat, new pedals, don’t really see anything else I want to change yet.

  1. There’s a handful of us her that have an Ozark Trail gravel cycle. They’re great!

Taking my OT Explorer into the LBS this afternoon to have it tuned up properly. Only thing that annoys me is that some of my local bike shops “refuse to work on a Walmart bike”. But fortunately I found a shop that will.
