Great man, great interview. He came from a time where stuff was repaired if it got broken. These days very little gets fixed. Almost everything is disposable
I wonder where the bike is now? I have and ride a black 1949 Raliegh Roadster 3 speed, rod brakes etc. it's a good old bike and I suspect rare…. 30mph down the hills!
Hey dont knock it, 2021 the incentive now get out of your car and (on yer bike) in the winter of his life he is still fit enough 16 miles on a sunday not bad for at all…absolute legend
50 years riding the same bicycle. From the interaction between his ass and the saddle there's a lot of human atoms in the bicycle and a lot of bicycle atoms in him. Hes fast becoming half bike half human!ππ.

Flan O'Brien would be proud. The man is likely to be 70% bicycle by this time

Imagine if he had hydraulic disc brakes
The oldest bicycle in Ireland? Twink!
The brakes would be handy going down a steep hill many men and women know when it was too late
