Been hearing this noise intermittently. It goes away whenever I shift, sometimes randomly comes back. Only happens when I pedal forward, and seems to happen more often when i'm on the 2nd and 3rd front plateau, and whatever gear on the rear. All derailleurs are well adjusted, so i'm clueless about this one.
It started last at the end of last season. I have since then replaced my chain, and cassette is still almost brand new if that matters.
Could it be a symptom of bad BB?

Could very well be a bottom bracket on its way out.
Is there any play in the spindle? Are the cranks on tightly?
Sounds like a pedal needs to be greased
