  1. It was most likely the factory lube that was too sticky, and the position of this bike near a draft where cat fur accumulates and moves. My other bikes were fine. Still washed them to prepare for the season!

    All you had to do was pop it off, clean it, lube it, and put it back on. All this drama over a few minutes of work.
