  1. I’ve just bought a quilt but not tried it out yet. I figured on colder nights I could put the pad into a sleeping bag liner and lie on top of that, with the quilt on top of me.

It’s not as effective as the zenbivy system, but can add a bit more comfort and warmth.

I’d recommend a sleeping bag liner over a sheet. With Zenbivy especially, you’ll pay for the name. I’ve got a cheap one I picked up from Go Outdoors but any of them will do really.

I have a Thermarest NeoAir sleeping pad and a “duvet” for it also from Thermarest. I’m not sure if they still make it but I like it. I don’t like sticking to the pad on warm nights and, unlike a sleeping bag liner, the duvet lets you stick your leg out when it’s hot.

If you’re looking for warmth a liner might be better.

  4. Don’t put tight straps around your air mattress. If you move during the night they will cut the fabric and you’ll finish the night on the ground. Snap buttons are ok but nothing that will stay firm.

(Been there done that with my quilt)
