So I took off this Topeak rack from gf bike, to mine. Didn’t think about how it might not fit my 61cm frame. Maybe it could, but then realized I don’t have holes on frame for those metal things to attach to.
Do I need to drill holes in? Find a new rack that doesn’t attach that way?
Any recommendations?

Do not drill the frame. Use P-clamps to attach the upper arms.
Edit: For the length, those upper arms should be adjustable at the rack itself, so as to level out the rack.
Get a rack that attaches to the seat post. Topeka may have one.

look here at [an earlier conversation](https://www.reddit.com/r/bikepacking/s/SdH74CCcxk)
that rack is designed for a bike with braze-ons on the seat tubes and has a disc brake. Don’t try to retrofit to your bike.

My preference is to use a seat post clamp with rack eyes.
You will need to ensure the silver bars are long enough to reach though. Looks like you might be able to undo some screws and get d another 20-40mm.
Another vote for p clamps, I’ve used them for years, they work great
