I have this bike, the compromise on build kit is 100% the brakes and fork.
Otherwise I absolutely love the bike, the geometry is very fun and quite poppy.
It gives alot more confidence than a 120/130 travel bike really should.
Pair this frame with a good fork (I went for a rockshox Psylo gold RC) good brakes (I went for a Magura trail sport setup I got 2nd hand)
Definitely a good buy but some things to upgrade down the line
Sounds like a great deal. Good bike for getting out there on real MTB trails. If they never swapped to tubeless, you might want to do that now. If they did, you might need to add new sealant.

Paid similar for a 2020 Rift Zone 1 with upgraded shock. Great bike, especially with the 140mm fork and upgraded brakes I have on it now. Great place to start and easy to upgrade.
