I’ve run into this, I think SRAM makes an AXS cage that handles 33 and then later gen version that handles 36. Good question to ask.

To answer your question, maybe! Nobody here knows if your chain was even sized correctly to begin with.

Theoretically yes, if it was the perfect length for 33T. In reality, probably not, as you should never be in the bigger sprockets on the big front ring anyway.

Not likely, I’ve upgraded from 32 to 42. See the video below along step by step guide, but i thing 40 is more than enough. 42 makes the derailleur arm a little wobbly. The shift isn’t going to be super crisp.
