I’m running 10 inch bars and want to hop way higher but I cant get the front end up any more than this and I feel like it’s limiting my hopping power. Idk if going to lower rise bars is a good idea bc I’m like 6’1. I’ve considered getting a slightly lower rise stem but could do without any of those if its just a technique issue. Any suggestions?
My specs: Toptube: 21.25
Stem: 51mil reach, 33mil rise
Chainstay: 13in

I’ve run 8.5 to 9.5 bars, and it doesn’t really matter.
i mean it can mess with the leverage but just lean back more to compensate
I’m 5’11″and I hop about the same as you.
I have 4 piece bars taken from a Fly Proton complete, on a top loader stem with no additional rise.
I’m never sure how one measures the height of bars, but I just measured mine from the join point of the stem to the middle of the bar grips and that apears to be 10″

I am really curious about this. I feel like I got the best hop height from my first ever Cult, which was a 2012 CC02 and had quite shallow bars. Since then, I’ve never felt I can hop as high. I have also wondered if this is due to lack of leverage / an inability to gain enough upward thrust with less room.
Will be interested to see what answers you get!
Yeah a little bit
kind of but not in your case, you are still far from your limit
