  1. You might have it the wrong way. That black part might be the rubber seal supposed to be inside.

What’s on the inside of your rim holding that stem in? You should have pressed the stem in from the inside, through the rim tape, then the rubber washer and nut(?) holds the stem air tight to the wheel

That’s a tubeless presta valve stem in what looks like a schrader sized hole in the rim.

just seeing this is making me question life. are you sure you mounted that valve right

It’s not a functional problem, the TPU tube is airtight. However as it is set up now, the nut and seals on the valve stem as well as the valve stem itself might rattle and cause noise while riding. There are stickers that you can glue to the rim with an inner diameter barely smaller than the valve, so they keep it in place.

In the future make sure to buy tubes with the correct length valve. If there’s no guidance from the manufacturer, the typical rule is the valve should be the shortest one possible, that is still 15~20mm longer than the rim is deep.

The other commenters assume this is a tubeless setup. If it were a tubeless valve, having the nut pull on the valve is absolutely necessary to get the tubeless setup airtight.

    This is tubeless

The valve inserts from inside the rim

You have it mounted on outside

I don’t even know what I’m looking at right now but I know the answer to your question is “yes” lol.

  8. It’s one of the new ridenow tpu tubes and they sell them for different rim depths with varying valve stem lengths. Your rim is not deep enough for them but you will be fine to use it. Plenty of old tubes never had a nut to lock them in place.

Your rim is not deep enough for the stem length you ordered. It will be Okay but next time order a shorter stem length. For now remove the spacer, O ring and threaded ring

It’s amazing how easily you can get an answer to your question when you post relevant information.
