Basic crankset, a year of proper riding? Yeah that’s about right for these really.
Dude I’ve had this bike too and the cranks lasted a good 4 months before issue started popping up.
Got akimbo cranks and never looked back!

I had same shit happen to me with demolition cranks although years of squeaking it broke when I decided to cross a road. I ate shit in process. I still remember it to this day funniest shit ever happened. Wish I could’ve had a dash cam footage of it from somebody else in the car.
