So weather was cooperating and the WTB resolutes were becoming a little slow so I threw the stock Hutchinson Touareg back on the bike, this time without tubes.

I’ve got to say, the entire experience was far less messy/difficult than I anticipated, so I’m happy for that.

Question, the back tire tread down the Touaregs center was definitely far slicker (worn) than last year when I first got it presumably due to wear & skidding. Now that it the wheels are tubeless do you recommend assuring always having a new tire on to avoid punctures or just keep riding?

But, for when it is time for a new tire, put the front tire on the back and the new one on the front

  2. You should be fine, just remember to adjust the pressures down to reflect the new setup (sram silca vitoria all have online guides) Expect to lose 1-2 psi a day so check them every time before you leave home.
