  1. wow that looks like horrible QC, how many steps was this missed — production at subcontractor, inspection at canyon, bike assembly personnel, final control and approval personnel etc. etc., unless this is “in spec” according to their QMS.

we just had someone post about another frame defect very recently [https://www.reddit.com/r/CanyonBikes/comments/1k1zdox/dent_in_new_aeroad/](https://www.reddit.com/r/CanyonBikes/comments/1k1zdox/dent_in_new_aeroad/)

    Edit: here’s mine for comparison

I had the same thing! Got on the phone with CS and they offered a frame replacement or partial refund as it did not affect the integrity.

I’d say it is a cosmetic defect. My guess is Canyon will say it does not affect the intended function of the frame in any way, so no warranty is necessary. If this is not an acceptable item, do not ride the bike, not even for 1 minute, and return it. If there is any obvious wear or markings on the bike, Canyon may well refuse to take the return.

Yikes, yeah not enough carbon poured in the mold. Look like you’ll be getting a new frame, hopefully they pay to get it rebuilt too

Shame on Canyon that really should never have left the factory. Sorry for your inconvenience I hope exchange goes smoothly. I saw another one today on here with a top tube similarly deformed.
