I have a 2009 district carbon. You know the one, the madone like frame with the gates belt drive? Anyway, when I lived in the city it was a perfect winter bike. Now I do far fewer kms and don't need "one of each type of bike".
Would you buy one? Should I just hang onto it because it's pretty and novel?
I'm torn.

Yeah, I’d buy this
If it was mine I wouldn’t sell it
I’m just commenting so I can read the rest of the other reply. Thanks reddit, brilliant update!
Hold onto it.
If I came across one of these, I’d snatch it up & do my best to place an IGH.
I am keeping my old nothing special about it SuperSix Evo just for memories sake. Some day I’ll hang it on the wall in the living room.
I don’t understand what’s weird about it. Is it just the belt drive? I thought everybody wanted a belt drive.
Trying to reply to r/BassmanBiff but the current mobile interface is rough…
The eccentric hub is pretty cool too, and it was a pretty early implementation of belts, especially on a full carbon frame, road bike.
This line should help the important part of this comment be seen if it sits at the bottom in mobile..
Or this one.
It’s novel and has some good looking lines, but how is the actual performance?
Keep it, maintain it well, and a few years down the line m sure you will get a very, very good price for this. But keep it man. What a bike to own i swear.
Back in the day this was my dream bike with an 11s Alfine di2
