  1. Overtaking exactly how trained to. Out for a look, see it’s clear, pass safely. So many people seem to think you race up to the rear of a car, suddenly pulling out flying round, like you are in a race track. Camera operator need to book some lessons.

  2. nothing to say really it was a perfectly executed example of advanced driving as anyone taught to drive in police training school would know

  3. Perfectly executed overtake. No laughing, more looking. Go on an advanced driving course. I’m just glad you didn’t accelerate into the police cars space. The procedure pretty easy but most get wrong by just gunning it. Give yourself visibility and options before any acceleration

  4. Notice the advanced trained driver is not riding the trucks backside. Vision is key. You only get that with space and patience. It’s easy to learn. But most don’t. Perfect overtake, have vision of as much of the road ahead, then commit… but you’d left options.

  5. I think some people genuinely this overtaking is illegal. The amount of ppl that spit their dummy when they see someone overtake 😂

  6. Textbook IPSGA multi-stage overtake. Can’t fault it. They also used the view around the corner to the limit point to check all was clear ahead. Perfect.

  7. Filmed by one of the legions of drivers who won't ever overtake anything no matter how clear the road or how slow the obstruction

  8. If you watch closely, as soon as the traffic car makes a move to get a clear view, the lorries indicators give the quick 'clear to overtake' flash, something you see a lot, not legally accpetable in any driving manual/course, but road awareness to many long term drivers. The police driver did that manouvre spot on, pulled out, check road and distance, and gunned it to overtake, a perfect overtake. As for the cam driver, too close, and then preceeded to speed up and be too close to the lorry thereafter.

  9. And that Ladies and Gentlemen, ''is an example of a Text Book Manoeuvre!' Thanks to Charlotte Blackwood. TG1.
Open road, went out to get a view, clear, gear and gone!!
Mr camera winger… You can learn a lot from watching what the Police drivers do, instead of winging about them… More than seven seconds after passing the truck and regaining the left side of the road, the opposing vehicle still has not come into sight!!
Advanced Classed 1 performance at its best!!
Think TOP GUN on the roads!! No points for second place!!

  10. Thats exactly how the police roadcraft manual tells them to do it , They move out to get a better view down the road then overtake quickly . Advanced driver.

  11. I am an advanced driver. The police driver sees alot more than the cammer.

Incidentally the cammer is tailgaiting the police car leaving less than a 1 second gap.
