Having recently switched to TPU tubes (80g per tube lighter = 240g and now at c. £6 each) I have just had first puncture courtesy of cavernous potholes encounter.
Can I repair with a standard patch and glue after cleaning the tube with the supplied alcohol rub pad, or just replace?

Correct if I’m mistaken, but you should use a TPU specific patch kit, at least that what I did. I recently had a pinch flat, fixed it with the tubolito kit and so far no issues (after 160km).
Yes you can fix but I find the fix is not as good as a butyl tube where the patch is vulcanised.
I’ve repair at home with rubbing alcohol and a small clamp to apply pressure and leave for 24 hours.
I would try to repair it, mount it on the rear wheel and see if it works.
not with a standard patch, i would expect you need a tpu patch kit
Most tpu tubes come with patch stickers. Don’t use the standard butyl patches if that’s what you meant.
Had my first TPU flat just last week.
They can be repaired but the patch is TPU specific. The small kit I have ($8 AUD) is just the patches (stickers) and alcohol swabs. Much easier to fit than a rubber patch.
Longevity?? So far so good. 5 days and one ride of 65k still rock hard.
