Not my photo. I have a Marin SQ3 that I purchased years ago for mtbing. After an accident I’m am trying to get back into riding my bike not so much on trails anymore due to back issues. I was thinking of trying to convert this into a street/ commuting bike. I don’t know if it is worth that or just sell and buy a commuter bike with a more upright riding position. Just looking for suggestions from more experienced people. Thanks.

Just my 2 cents but if the bike fits you well and you just need to be more upright maybe a stem with more rise and some bars that sweep back more will help. Bars like the Ritchey Kyote along with less aggressive tires.
