It’s the b screw or at least that’s what we call it. It needs to sit where it needs to sit. You turn it in so that your guide pulley clears the largest cassette cog (or rather however far it’s supposed to be from it according to the manual).

  2. Yes. It’s the b screw and it adjust the distance between the top pulley and the cassette you should ever have to change it unless you replace a cassette with one that has different cog ratio.

That would be the B screw it adjustes the distance between the tip jockey wheel and cassette.

Yes, or no as others have said. That’s an NX Eagle with what looks to be a 10-50t cassette. You need to get the little SRAM B limit adjustment gauge or you can eyeball it. Usually about 5/8 inch from tip to tip of the teeth in the pulley wheel and largest cassette plate. If you have a 50t you need the red gauge. If you have a 52t you need the white gauge and it measures differently by aligning that small window/arrow with the pulley wheel bolt while the bike is in 2nd gear and the gauge rests on the first gear cassette plate. Good luck.

  5. It sticks out as much or as little as it needs to when the gears are all correctly adjusted and working
