The Huskisson Memorial is a historic monument located in St James Gardens, Liverpool, England. It was erected in 1836 to commemorate William Huskisson, a British statesman and financier who was the first person to be killed in a locomotive accident on the Liverpool to Manchester Railway in 1830.

It’s situated in the St James Gardens located adjacent to Liverpool Cathedral. The park has a rich history dating back to 1771 when it was established as Liverpool’s first public park, known as St James Mount, Quarry Hill or Mount Zion.

The Huskisson Memorial has a piece of railway line taking pride of place inside the memorial, as if to mock poor William.
