slatersoso on April 14, 2025 12:16 am a spacer between the tube and head of the screw. the nut from a presta valve works well for this
elkym on April 14, 2025 12:21 am They said it before I said it. You could probably use the threadnut for a presta valve stem as a spacer.
Stunning-Bike-1498 on April 14, 2025 12:38 am Shorter screw or just glue the cable guide to its place.
oldfrancis on April 14, 2025 1:10 am That screw doesn’t need to stick into the bottom bracket any farther than the end of the threads. As others have said, get a shorter screw or washer it until it doesn’t interfere anymore.
wiggywiggywiggy on April 14, 2025 1:36 am I had a screw failure at this point once and just epoxy’d this plastic guide on there and used screw as way to keep straight
beagleprime on April 14, 2025 1:49 am It doesnt really need to be screwed in. Just a bit of adhesive and tension from the cables will keep it in place

I would shorten the screw to the “just right” length.
