Did that going to work. Passenger trains Are faster than Freight trains is what I learned in early morning darkness. Half asleep, & not paying attention. Never again, I'll wait. Conductor blew whistle twice before I realized the urgency.

I loved this race but I remeber feeling so bad for that marshal on the motorbike at the barrier. He looked totally helpless. And I remeber some of the guys getting hit by the closing barriers. I couldn't believe what I was seeing 😮
